Waqar Younis Urge Australia To Tour Pakistan In 2022
Following New Zealand’s last-minute cancellation of their Pakistan tour, England has said that they are cautious to tour Pakistan. A lot of past and current Pakistan cricketers are dissatisfied with the current situation.
Australia is scheduled to visit Pakistan in 2022, and Pakistan’s former cricketer and ex bowling coach, Waqar Younis has claimed that the country is a very secure location to visit. Younis also stated that Pakistan’s security is among the best in the world, assuring the Australian players that nothing will harm them.
The 49 years old, further stated that Pakistan will give the best possible hospitality and security to the Australian players.
“I live in Sydney, my family is in Sydney — it’s the safest place in the world and I can guarantee you this place is nothing less than that. Come visit us, we will make sure we will look after you. Our security is one of the best in the world. We’ll make sure nothing of that sort will occur. When a team comes it is a different ball game. They make sure the hospitality, the security is right up there,” said Younis.
NZ Tour was one of the toughest tours I’ve attended: Waqar Younis
Waqar Younis also mentioned that the Pakistani team visited New Zealand early this year before vaccinations were available, and the 14-day quarantine that the players and support personnel had a typical time. Younis concluded by saying that Pakistan traveled to New Zealand to ensure that cricket did not suffer as a result of their tour.
“It was very tough with quarantine and we followed the protocols. We made sure cricket shouldn’t suffer. We went to NZ when the vaccines didn’t exist. That was one of the toughest tours I’ve attended — 14 days of quarantine was really painful,” concluded Waqar Younis.
