Rohit Sharma is the biggest match-winner on his good day and which happens very often. Recently, Former Indian batsmen, Sunil Gavaskar spoke in favor of Rohit Sharma and said that he will score tons in the upcoming Test series against England.

Rohit Sharma has made an excellent comeback in his Test career when he scored 3 centuries against South Africa in 2019. After that, he had few injuries but still, he managed to give a solid comeback against Australia & England recently.

Sunil Gavaskar explained the weakness and strengths of Rohit Sharma. He thinks that Rohit needs the first few overs to settle down and once his footwork is good and then he can manage scoring runs.

“In his case, it’s always the first two-three overs. Those are the overs where his front foot is not quite getting to the pitch of the ball. But a couple of overs down the road, once his front foot starts reaching the pitch of the ball, then he is very good,” Gavaskar said.

“Even in Australia, he didn’t score too many runs but the time he had to play their fast bowlers was amazing. These guys were bowling at 90 miles an hour but he actually made it look like 40 miles per hour. He had so much time to play.” He added.

Sunil Gavaskar backs Rohit Sharma to score if the shot selection is accurate.

“His thing is that all the time he is looking to attack. So sometimes, the shot selection is where he gets out. But if he gets that right, then he can get as many as three hundred in this five-Test series,” he added.

Rohit Sharma will definitely open in WTC Finals and opening contribution is very important for India to win. Rohit Sharma will be a key to watch for a big match tomorrow.
