Police Seize Sri Lanka Team’s Bus After Bullet Shells Are Found
Authorities in Chandigarh were on high alert as two empty bullet shells were discovered on the vehicle bringing the visiting Sri Lankan cricket squad. The discovery unfolded during a standard police check. The 2 bullets were discovered in the baggage area of the charter bus that was scheduled to carry the Lankan group from their hotel lobby in Chandigarh, The Lalit, to the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
While undertaking a search using metal detectors, officers made the discovery. When the bus has been parked in the hotel’s parking lot, it was finished. Though no FIR has been filed, the hotel is now under the supervision of the IT Park Police Department, and the policemen have filed a daily diary register (DDR) file. According to preliminary research, the private bus in dispute was leased from Tara Brothers, a firm based in Chandigarh’s sector 17.

According to the police statement, the bus was also reportedly booked for a special wedding occasion. It should be mentioned that irrespective of restriction, celebrating on gunfire is a common happens in weddings in northern India. On the other hand, the police were firmly investigating the findings.
Police Station’s (IT Park) SHO has declined to give an official update in front of the camera. The bus driver and proprietors are currently being quired by the authorities. The wedding specifics for which the vehicle was utilized are still unknown. More information about the incident should become surfaced in detail once the investigation is concluded.
Meantime, Team India whitewashed Sri Lanka in the 3-match T20I series. The India team performed admirably to clinch the series. The Rohit-led team took the 3–0 lead against the Lankan team in the Shortest format and made a strong note that their team is unstoppable. India and Sri Lanka are scheduled to play 2 Tests in Mohali and Bangalore. The first Test Match will commence from March 4–8, and the second Test Match will be commenced from March 12–16.
