Another new T20 competition, the International League T20 or ILT20, which will be held in 2023 by the Emirates Cricket Board, would captivate cricket enthusiasts.
In order to work together to advance the shortest format of the game, ILT20 brought together some of the most prestigious and well-known brands in the market, including the Kolkata Knight Riders, Capri Global, Reliance Industries, GMR, Lancer Capital, and many others.
Players from all around the World
Cricket players from around the world will compete in the International League T20 in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament’s inaugural season was originally slated to run from January through February 2022, but it was moved to begin in January 2023. Featuring six teams for the inaugural tournament.
The teams were announced to be owned by franchise owners from the Indian Premier League (IPL), including Knight Riders Group, Reliance Industries, GMR Group Lancer Capitals, and Adani Group.
The owners of the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Kolkata Knight Riders three of the original IPL franchises can also sign up to four players from their current IPL teams.

International League T20 Rules
The maximum number of foreign players allowed on each team will be nine, which is significantly more than the four or five allowed in other major T20 leagues. Each squad must have two UAE players and one player from an Associate Member country.
Primary Goal of the International League T20
The league’s primary goal is to give UAE natives who are still developing the chance to compete against top-tier athletes and advance their skills. Zee Group received all international media rights to ILT20 in exchange for USD 120 million.
It is anticipated that the ILT20’s initial season will occur in January and February 2023. The league’s first game will take place on January 6, 2023, and it will end on February 12, 2023.
The International League T20 will feature six franchises and a total of 34 games in the United Arab Emirates.
