Muzarabani and Chatara will miss Bangladesh T20Is due to injuries
The two senior pacers for Zimbabwe, who joined the Netherlands as the newest participants in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2022, won’t be available for the next home series against Bangladesh, which begins on Saturday (30 July). Due to injury, Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani are no longer eligible.
Injuries to both bowlers occurred during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier. Muzarabani tore a muscle in his leg, but Chatara broke his clavicle.
In place of the pair, Victor Nyauchi and Tanaka Chivanga have been added to the team. The remaining Zimbabwean athletes who competed in the recently finished qualifying round held in Bulawayo have kept their spots on the 15-person team.
All six of Zimbabwe’s scheduled matches against Bangladesh will take place at the Harare Sports Club, beginning with a three-match T20I series and concluding with a three-match ODI series.
The following players represent Zimbabwe in the T20 International squad: Regis Chakabva (w), Craig Ervine ©, Wesley Madhevere, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Wellington Masakadza, Luke Jongwe, Richard Ngarava, Innocent Kaia, Tony Munyonga, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Victor Nyauchi, Tanaka Chivanga.
