DRS To Be Available For All ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 Matches

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially said that the Decision Review System (DRS) will be available for all the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 games. And the mega event is all set to start on March 4th, 2022 at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

You will be shocked to hear but this is only the 2nd time where DRS is being used in a Women’s World Cup and the last time this was used back in 2017 in England.

ICC has officially stated that — “The Decision Review System (DRS) will be available at all matches,”

They have also added — “All matches of the prestigious tournament will be covered live by broadcast partners around the world, who will access a fully produced world feed program from ICC TV using a minimum of 24 cameras at each of the six venues.”

New Zealand is hosting the Mega event and the 1st game will be between the Hosts New Zealand and West Indies at Mount Maunganui on Friday.

And former England captain and one of the commentators, Nasser Hussain said — “Women’s cricket has made rapid progress in the past few years, and I have been following it very keenly. The worlds best have converged in New Zealand and I’m sure there are lots of thrills in store in the coming weeks.”

In this edition, we will be witnessing 8 teams battling against each other for the prestigious World Cup.

All the participating 8 teams are India Women, Pakistan Women, Australia Women, Bangladesh Women, New Zealand Women, South Africa Women, England Women, and West Indies Women.

And the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 will be played in the below venues:

Bay Oval (Mount Maunganui), University Oval (Dunedin), Seddon Park (Hamilton), Basin Reserve (Wellington), Eden Park (Auckland), and Hagley Oval (Christchurch).

The most anticipated match of this edition is India vs Pakistan and it is all set to be played on Sunday.
