Bangladesh Is All Set To Tour South Africa In March

Bangladesh is all set to tour South Africa for three ODI’s and two Tests in the month of March. Cricket South Africa has officially announced the tour details on 9th Feb 2022 in a press meet.

The tour will be starting with the ODI series from 18th March at SuperSport Park, Centurion. And all the matches will be played from March 18 to April 12 in four different venues.

SuperSport Park, Centurion will host two ODI matches, Imperial Wanderers will host one ODI game, and both Durban, Gqeberha will host the Test matches respectively.

Here is the crucial point, Both the series (ODI and Test) will play a key role in gaining some points for the CC Cricket World Cup Super League and the ICC World Test Championship.

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have said that the tourists are expected to stay in Johannesburg during the tour.

1st ODI — Friday, March 18 13:00 Local Time, SuperSport Park, Centurion

2nd ODI — Sunday, March 20, 10:00 Local Time, Imperial Wanderers, Johannesburg

3rd ODI — Wednesday, March 23 13:00 Local Time, SuperSport Park, Centurion

1st Test — Thursday, March 31 — April 4, 100 AM Local Time Kingsmead, Durban

2nd Test — Friday, April 8 -12, 10:00 AM Local Time, St. George’s Park Cricket Ground, Gqeberha.

This series will be very crucial for both sides and especially for Bangladesh because the Proteas have a crazy winning record on their home soil. Even the big team like India could not win over them in South African pitches. This will be a bigger stage for tigers to prove their capabilities in the longest formats.
