Avesh Khan Reveals His Main Aim For Team India
The Young Indian pacer Avesh Khan has been recently bought by the Lucknow Super Giants franchise in the IPL Mega Auctions 2022. He is also a part of Team India’s T20 squad against West Indies and has recently received his debut cap in the 1st T20I game at Eden Gardens.
Avesh Khan has revealed his desire to be picked in the T20 World cup which is scheduled at the end of the year. One good sign for him is, Skipper Rohit Sharma has previously stated that he is looking to identify players for the mega event in this series followed by the series against Sri Lanka — So this is a great chance for him to prove and book a slot in the squad.
Speaking in a recent interview he said — “I’m looking at the West Indies as an opportunity. Obviously, representing the country is every cricketer’s dream. Any young player takes up the sport so that he can represent India one day. I have got that chance… I want to grab that opportunity and help the team win matches with my performances,”
He also added — “Obviously because World Cup is a big stage. After breaking into the national side, every player aims of playing in the World Cup and help India win the trophy. It’s been at the back of my mind. I want to help India win the World Cup,”
He was picked by the new IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants in the recent Auction for a whopping price of 10 Cr. After the purchase, he has now become the highest-paid uncapped Indian player in the history of the IPL Auction.
He has concluded by saying — “I was on the flight at that time and I had expected I would get at least 7 Crores. But since I was on the flight and couldn’t watch the auction live, I was feeling a bit nervous thinking which team would pick me and for how much. Upon landing when I got to know that Lucknow bought me for 10 Crores, I froze for five seconds,
